School Training
The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire develops and delivers specialized training programs for schools across Chatham County and throughout Georgia. Our evidence-informed workshops support educators, counselors, administrators, and school staff in creating safer, trauma-informed, and resilience-focused environments.
Our offerings include:
- Suicide prevention and safety planning
- Conflict resolution and restorative practices
- Resilience and self-regulation tools for students and staff
- Trauma-informed classroom strategies
We tailor each session to the needs of your school or district and offer both one-time trainings and ongoing implementation support.
We are proud to be a partner in the Georgia Department of Education’s Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) initiative. Schools statewide can access our trainings—at no cost—through this program.

Suicide Safety & Resilience Training for SCCPSS
This suicide gatekeeper session will raise awareness of suicide’s impact in our schools and community, examine how beliefs and stigma shape safety, equip participants with immediate prevention steps, and inspire collective action toward a safer school culture.
