Families First: Parent-Teen Conflict Management Program offers constructive ways for parents and teens to learn and practice skills, heal troubled relationships, and provide life-long skills for managing and resolving conflict.
The transition from a child to an adolescent can be a challenge for most teens. It can also prove to be a challenge for parents. When communication starts to break down, emotions swell, and feelings can be hurt, sometimes damaging relationships. Both parent and teen can benefit from constructive conversation where both perspectives are heard.
A Restorative Conference brings together persons harmed by misbehavior and the person who harmed them, along with affected family members to a facilitated conversation that aims to build understanding, explore how the actions have impacted those involved, and develop agreements for what will be done to make things right
Families can participate in a restorative conference or an organization can refer a family to Families First.
