This training will review our current processes to manage a virtual mediation session using Zoom, Google Workspace, and Adobe Sign. Material is geared towards anyone with an interest in supporting the community through volunteer work in a virtual setting.

Requirements
This volunteer position requires the following in order to provide mediation support successfully
- A basic understanding of Zoom platform features, Google Workspace, and Adobe Sign
- Volunteers are required to have their own computer with a strong internet connection
- Sign a Volunteer Agreement and Commitment form before observing
Qualities
Our Center is looking for individuals with an interest in helping others, confidence in their ability to troubleshoot technology issues; and display initiative and reliability in carrying out required processes. And for those who complete the training and complete three months of volunteering, our Center is able to provide the following;
- Sign off on externship, internship, and volunteer hours
- Provide a reference for those
- looking for job opportunities
- mediators needing a letter to join an ADR Program
- Provide observation forms to complete practicum hours

Practicum
Our Center requires potential volunteers to observe three cases before taking a case on their own as a volunteer. Due to the number of training and participants observing, observation will be limited to three.
Approval for CE Hours
This training has been approved by the GODR for registered mediators to receive one CE hour for attendance. Per the CE requirements set forth by the GODR, those that attend are only able to count this class once, you will have to attend the entire hour, and your video camera must be on the entire time.
